Sometimes I travel when I'm sick....

Sometimes things don't go quite as you would like, am I right? You know I am.
This past week I had the awesome opportunity to go to The Netherlands and Belgium...unfortunately I was crazy sick from the get go and did not get to do all I could have done...you know had I not been vomiting and such...BUT I got to do all I really wanted to do and was really blessed!
Let's just delve in shall we? Answer: Yes, we shall.

This was what my diet consisted of for the first few days of my trip...Side note: I did not eat the magazine, yes it is US Weekly... I overpaid its worth to get an American Magazine. Was it worth it? Of course. Don't Judge. I would like to say it was because it was the only US magazine but I would have picked it out anyways...I also bought Runners World, but its the UK version so it says weird things like, "Before he weighed 25st 4lb" What the heck? Apparently it stands for stones...they weigh themselves in stones. I had to google it. In case you are interested one stone is about 14 pounds...and in case you just tried to figure out his before weight it was 354lbs... and in case you are still interested he now weighs 186 lbs.

Did I mention I threw up as soon as the plane started taking off? I went to grab for the vomit bag in my seat pocket, alas there was no vomit bag and I had to grab for my neighbors...I'm sure in his head he was like, "Oh no she didn't! She stole from me and now she is throwing up. Worst. Person. Ever."...But his actual reaction was nothing! I threw up on a plane and no one even glanced at me! I think they may have thought I was either nervous about take off or I had a little too much Oktoberfest.

Bikes on bikes on bikes....First stop was Amsterdam! I feel in love immediately and I'm already ready to go back. Here are some things that happened while I was there...
I walked by these lovely canals...

I got to go to the Anne Frank House, which has been on my bucket list since I read her diary as a kid. It was amazing. And I learned a lot. For instance there were more than one diary that was used to compose the book. I got to see a few of them.

I also went to a cheese museum.. Because why in the world would I not go to a cheese museum?
The top floor was cheese on cheese on cheese.
The bottom floor was a museum!
And in that museum was the worlds most expensive cheese slicer! It had DIAMONDS!
What's better than diamonds and cheese you may ask? I simply have no response.

And then obviously I had to dress up.
Then I fulfilled another bucket list item and went to the Van Gogh Museum!
And got to do cool things like look at paintings under a microscope.
And Just die over everything awesome going on in paintings like these.
Obligatory picture in front of Amsterdam....
 The backside of Amsterdam....
How they deliver packages in Amsterdam....
Then I took a bus to Brussels...and I had to have Belgium waffles...and it was the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. I wanted to throw up after, but it was totally worth it. I'd throw up Belgium waffles any day...
And did I mention the Belgium chocolate?
Hanging out in Brussels Grand Market

And I walked around the shops and they had a Crocs store and the window said "Be Chic"....
And so obviously I thought of this.
Then I rode the train to the medieval town of Bruges and got to ride on this fancy boat around the canals..
I look better than I felt. But seriously, it was soo beautiful!
Bruges, Belgium

They had great windows.

And this was my tender mercy for the day. It was so lovely, but I really was not feeling well and had no energy at all and as I was about to just lay down and die in the street I heard this family pictured behind me and I understood what they were saying, but they weren't speaking English, they were speaking HUNGARIAN! I almost cried I was so happy. I thought what more can go wrong and then I heard them and my heart leapt! And the even better part was I started following for a little ways just to hear. My throat hurt and I couldn't talk with them anyways and I dreaded the thought of maybe getting them sick so I just listened for a while and they led me right to the street I was looking for that I thought I would never in a million years find. God loves us. I love you. That is all.
